Definitions.

For the purposes of this Act:

 
"Acceptable indoor air quality" means that the air is free of excessive
levels of chemical and physical contaminants and microbiological
hazards.

 
"Air cleaning" means an indoor air quality control strategy to remove
airborne particulates or gases from the air stream.

 
"Bake-out" means a process of overheating a building or space to
artificially age the materials that are sources of indoor air contamination.

 
"Board" means the Illinois Board of Health.

 
"Source control" means limiting the production of an air contaminant
before it enters the ventilation system.

 
"Ventilation" means the process of supplying air to and removing air
from any space by natural or mechanical means, regardless of whether the air is
conditioned.
