Sec. 60. 
Inactive status.

 
(a) A person registered under this Act who notifies the Department in writing on forms or electronically as prescribed by the Department may elect to place his or her registration on inactive status and shall, subject to rules of the Department, be excused from payment of renewal fees until he or she notifies the Department in writing on forms or electronically as prescribed by the Department of his or her desire to resume active status.
 
(b) Any registrant whose registration is on inactive status shall not use the title "registered landscape architect" or "landscape architect" in the State of Illinois.
 
(c) Any registrant who uses the title "registered landscape architect" or "landscape architect" while his or her registration is inactive shall be considered to be using the title without a registration that shall be grounds for discipline under this Act.
