(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2028) Sec. 38. Temporary suspension of a license. The Secretary may temporarily suspend the license of a podiatric physician without a hearing, simultaneously with the institution of proceedings for a hearing provided for in Section 27 of this Act, if the Secretary finds that evidence in his or her possession indicates that a podiatric physician's continuation in practice would constitute an imminent danger to the public. In the event that the Secretary suspends, temporarily, this license of a podiatric physician without a hearing, a hearing by the Board must be held within 30 days after such suspension has occurred and shall be concluded without appreciable delay.
