(a) The Department may on its own motion, and shall upon the sworn complaint in writing of any person setting forth charges which, if proved, would constitute grounds for sanction pursuant to this Act, investigate the actions of any person licensed or funded by the Department, or of any person whose activities are alleged to require licensure under this Act. (b) The Department shall cooperate with all agencies charged with enforcement of the laws of the United States, or of any state, concerning matters pertaining to this Act. (c) The Department may request the cooperation of the State Fire Marshal, county and municipal health departments, or municipal boards of health to assist in determining whether a person has violated this Act.
