Death of licensee; payments to licensee's estate

If any licensee dies and no application is made for transfer of the license, or the Commissioner refuses to permit the transfer of the
license to another person, the Commissioner shall return to the legal representative of such deceased licensee a share of the license fee
received by the Department proportionate to the number of full calendar months of the unexpired term. If the marijuana or marijuana
products in possession of the licensee at the time of the licensee's death are delivered to the Commissioner and the Commissioner
ascertains that such marijuana or marijuana products have been received by the deceased licensee according to law, the Commissioner must
pay to the legal representative the amount originally received by the Commissioner for such marijuana or marijuana products less 10%
thereof, or the appraised value less 10% thereof.
