(a) A person is guilty of vendor fraud in the sixth degree when he commits vendor fraud, as defined in section 53a-290 , and receives payment for goods or services fraudulently provided in an amount of two hundred fifty dollars or less. (b) Vendor fraud in the sixth degree is a class C misdemeanor.
