Operation of motor vehicles on property under control of or owned by parks and recreation districts

(1) Any metropolitan recreation district, any park and
recreation district organized pursuant to article 1 of title 32, C.R.S., or any recreation district
organized pursuant to the provisions of part 7 of article 20 of title 30, C.R.S., referred to in this
section as a "district", shall have the authority to designate areas on property owned or controlled
by the district in which the operation of motor vehicles shall be prohibited. Areas in which it
shall be prohibited to operate motor vehicles shall be clearly posted by a district.
(2) It is unlawful for any person to operate a motor vehicle in an area owned or under the
control of a district if the district has declared the operation of motor vehicles to be prohibited in
such area, as provided in subsection (1) of this section.
(3) Any person who violates any provision of this section commits a class B traffic
infraction.
