(1) Every applicant for license as a psychiatric technician must submit an application in a manner approved by the board. (2) Every applicant shall accompany the application with a license fee established pursuant to section 12-20-105. (3) Every person licensed under this article 295 shall be known as a licensed psychiatric technician and may place the letters "L.P.T." after his or her name. The term or the abbreviation shall not be used to identify anyone not licensed under this article 295. The terms "psychiatric technician", "psychiatric aide", "trained psychiatric technician", or "graduate psychiatric technician" shall for the purposes of this article 295 be deemed synonymous with the term "psychiatric technician", and none of the terms shall be used to identify anyone not licensed under this article 295.
