(1) A bank may operate a deposit account for a minor with the same effect upon its liability as if the minor were of full age unless the minor's guardian or conservator files with the bank a certified copy of the order of a Colorado court having jurisdiction appointing the guardian or conservator and directs otherwise. (2) Subject to such rules, not in conflict with section 11-105-101, as the banking board may prescribe for the protection of depositors, a bank may contract with the proper authorities of any public or nonpublic elementary or secondary school or any public or charitable institution caring for minors for the participation by the bank in any school or institutional thrift or savings plan.
