Colorado Code § 10-23-101

As used in this article, unless the context otherwise requires:
(1) "Cash-bonding agent" means a person who was licensed by the division as of January
1, 1992, to write bail bonds as a cash-bonding agent.
(2) "On the board" means that the name of the person has been publicly posted or
disseminated by a court as being ineligible to write bail bonds under section 16-4-114 (5)(e) or
(5)(f), C.R.S.
(3) "Professional cash-bail agent" means a person who furnishes bail for compensation
in any court or courts in this state in connection with judicial proceedings by posting a bond with
the division. "Professional cash-bail agent" does not mean a full-time salaried officer or
employee of an insurer nor a person who pledges United States currency, a United States postal
money order, a cashier's check, or other property in connection with a judicial proceeding,
whether for compensation or otherwise.
