(a) The Perinatal Insurance Fund is continued in existence in the State Treasury under the administration of the department. (b) Amounts deposited in the fund shall only be used for the purposes specified by this chapter. (c) Notwithstanding Section 13340 of the Government Code, the fund is hereby continuously appropriated, without regard to fiscal years, to the department, for the purposes specified in this chapter. (d) This section shall become operative on July 1, 2014.
