(a) For purposes of Sections 15847, 15847.3, and 15847.5, âgroup health coverageâ includes any health care service plan, self-insured employee welfare benefit plan, or disability insurance providing medical or hospital benefits. (b) This section shall become operative on July 1, 2014.
