âLegal ownerâ means a person holding a security interest in a manufactured home, mobilehome, commercial coach, floating home, or truck camper perfected by filing the appropriate documents with the department pursuant to Section 18080.7 if the person is entitled to the designation, as provided in Article 3 (commencing with Section 18085) or 4 (commencing with Section 18098) of Chapter 8. A lien created pursuant to Section 18080.9 is not a security interest for purposes of this definition.
