A retirement allowance payable pursuant to Section 24106 that includes a childâs portion shall be reduced when a dependent child becomes ineligible. The reduction shall take into account the increases made by application of the improvement factor. However, the retired memberâs allowance under this part shall not be less than it could have been if there had never been a dependent child.
