Additional penalties

(a) The penalties under this section may be in addition to the penalties provided under § 27-50-301 et seq. and the Arkansas Criminal Code, § 5-1-101 et seq. (b) A person who is found guilty of, pleads guilty to, or pleads nolo contendere to a violation under this subchapter where the violation resulted in the injury of another person may be fined two hundred dollars ($200) and may have his or her driver's license, permit, or nonresident operating privilege suspended for a minimum of thirty (30) days. (c) A person who is found guilty of, pleads guilty to, or pleads nolo contendere to a violation under this subchapter where the violation resulted in the serious bodily injury of another person may be fined five hundred dollars ($500) and may have his or her driver's license, permit, or nonresident operating privilege suspended for a minimum of ninety (90) days. (d) A person who is found guilty of, pleads guilty to, or pleads nolo contendere to a violation under this subchapter where the violation results in the death of another person may be fined one thousand dollars ($1,000) and may have his or her driver's license, permit, or nonresident operating privilege suspended for a minimum of one hundred eighty (180) days.
