Application for duplicate license after deposit unlawful

(a) It shall be unlawful to make application for a duplicate license to operate a motor vehicle during the period when the original license is posted for an appearance in a court. (b) Any person convicted thereof may be punishable by imprisonment of not less than seven (7) days nor more than six (6) months and by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500), or both such fine and imprisonment.
