The purpose of this subchapter is to continue the procedure which existed prior to April 13, 2005, for issuing special license plates to the elected members of the General Assembly. These special license plates are issued to honor the elected members of the General Assembly and to assist in making parking rules for the State Capitol more enforceable by the State Capitol Police. Acts 2005, No. 2202, § 1.
