(a) (1) Any person, firm, or corporation engaged in the business of manufacturing motor homes in this state shall apply for a motor home manufacturers' license for the sole purpose of delivering or transporting the manufacturers' motor homes on the public highways and streets of this state from the manufacturer to a distributor or from the manufacturer to a dealer or from the manufacturer to a consumer. (2) All applications for manufacturers' master license plates shall be made to the Office of Motor Vehicle. (b) Both manufacturers' master license plates and manufacturers' extra plates shall expire annually on December 31, and applications for renewal shall be made between January 1 and January 31 of the succeeding year.
