The Career Education and Workforce Development Board shall have the following powers: (1) To ensure that all persons working as apprentice plumbers are properly registered; (2) To adopt rules as to the qualifications, training, and supervision of apprentice plumbers subject to the approval of the Department of Health; and (3) To adopt rules establishing the roles and duties of the following organizations or officials in the plumbing apprenticeship program in compliance with the Revised National Guidelines for Apprenticeship Standards for plumber training as approved and registered with the United States Office of Apprenticeship: (A) The Office of Skills Development; and (B) The State Plumbing Apprenticeship Committee.
