(a) The regular terms of the county courts of the several counties of this state shall commence on the first Mondays in January, April, July, and October of each year. (b) (1) The county court shall be open, by operation of law, at the beginning of each regular term of the court, as set forth in subsection (a) of this section, and shall remain open until the beginning of the next term of the court. (2) No term of the court shall lapse by reason of the fact that the court was not formally opened at the beginning of the term. Acts 1963, No. 214, §§ 1, 2; A.S.A. 1947, §§ 22-603, 22-603.1.
