(a) The various county hospital boards of governors in existence on August 15, 1977, shall continue in existence and shall function under the provisions of this chapter. (b) The members of all those boards serving on August 15, 1977, shall continue to serve for the respective terms for which they were appointed, and their successors shall be selected in the manner and for the terms provided in this chapter.
