Report and audit of operation

The city council of any city adopting the ordinance provided for in this subchapter shall require the consolidated governing body designated as the light and water commission to make a complete and competent audit by an auditor approved by the city council each biennium, from and after the effective date of the ordinance. The city council shall require the light and water commission to file with the city council a complete report and audit of the operation of both the light plant and water plant. This audit shall be publicized in a legal newspaper having a general circulation in the county wherein the city is located. Acts 1947, No. 106, § 4; A.S.A. 1947, § 19-3914.
