44-1220.01. Fraudulent fire insurance application or claim; classification A person who knowingly provides false or fraudulent material information to or withholds material information from an insurance producer on an application for fire insurance or who presents a false or fraudulent claim or proof in support of such claim, upon a contract of insurance for payment of any loss, or who knowingly prepares, makes or subscribes to a false account, certificate of survey, affidavit or proof of loss, or other false book, paper or writing, with intent to present or use it or allow it to be presented or used in support of such claim is guilty of a class 5 felony.
