Juvenile Court Services Fund

(a) In addition to all other costs and charges in circuit and district court cases in Randolph County, an additional court charge of three dollars ($3) shall be charged and collected by the clerk of the court. This charge shall not be collected on small claims cases. When collected by the clerk of the court, the additional court charge shall be remitted monthly to the Juvenile Court Services Fund. (b) In addition to all other costs and charges of court in Randolph County, a monthly supervision fee may be assessed in juvenile cases by the judges of the juvenile court. The supervision fee shall be collected by the juvenile court office and deposited in the Juvenile Court Services Fund. (c)(1) The Juvenile Court Services Fund is created for the deposit of the court cost fees specified in this section. The fund shall be maintained in an interest bearing account under the supervision of the Juvenile Court Judge of Randolph County. (2) Any funds appropriated from the Juvenile Court Services Fund shall be expended solely for juvenile programs, for subsistence for the juvenile court services staff in the county, to aid the functions of the juvenile court, and for the benefit of the children of Randolph County. Any funds expended shall be authorized by the Juvenile Court Judge of Randolph County.
