(a) A person commits the crime of abuse and neglect of an adult with a disability in the third degree if he or she recklessly abuses or neglects any adult with a disability and the abuse or neglect causes physical injury. (b) Abuse and neglect of an adult with a disability in the third degree is a Class A misdemeanor.
