(a) After consultation with the council, the governor shall appoint a state fire marshal who shall be the director of the department and shall have theoretical knowledge and practical and managerial skill and experience which fits him for the position, as determined by the governor. (b) Repealed by Laws 1987, ch. 185, § 2.
