(a) Life insurance is insurance on human lives and the transaction of life insurance includes also the granting of: (i) Endowment benefits; (ii) Additional benefits because of death or dismemberment by accident or accidental means; (iii) Additional benefits because of the insured's disability; and (iv) Optional modes of settlement of proceeds of life insurance.
