(a) Before becoming effective, the agreement shall be submitted to and receive the approval of the state attorney general. (b) The attorney general shall approve an agreement submitted to him under this act unless he finds that it is not in proper form, does not meet the requirements set forth in this act, or otherwise does not conform to the laws of this state. If he disapproves an agreement, he shall provide a detailed written statement to the appropriate governing bodies of the fire protection services, emergency medical care providers, homeland security programs and local government subdivisions. (c) If the attorney general does not disapprove an agreement within sixty (60) days after its submission to him, it is considered approved.
