Wisconsin Code § 779.45

Liens of factors, brokers, etc

Every factor, broker or other agent entrusted by the owner with the possession of
any bill of lading, customhouse permit, warehouse receipt or
other evidence of the title to personal property, or with the possession of personal property for the purpose of sale or as security
for any advances made or liability incurred by the factor, broker
or agent in reference to such property, shall have a lien upon such
personal property for all such advances, liability incurred or commissions or other moneys due for services as such factor, broker
or agent, and may retain the possession of such property until
such advances, commissions or moneys are paid or such liability
is discharged.
