A settlor or transferor may effectively transfer property to a trust by placing legal title of the property in the name of the trustee, which shall include any successor trustee regardless of whether a successor trustee is referenced in the transfer document. A transfer that places legal title in the name of the trust itself places legal title in the name of the trustee.
