Wisconsin Code § 66.0145

No preferences in hiring or contracting

(1)
In this section, “political subdivision” means a county, city, village, or town.
(2) Unless required to secure federal aid, no political subdivision may discriminate against, or grant preferential treatment on
the basis of, race, color, ancestry, national origin, or sexual orientation in making employment decisions regarding employees of a
political subdivision or contracting for public works.
