Wisconsin Code § 63.17

Violations, county civil service

Any person who
willfully, or through culpable negligence, violates any provisions
of ss. 63.01 to 63.16, or any rule promulgated in accordance with
the provisions thereof, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and
shall, on conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not less than
$50 nor more than $1,000, or by imprisonment in the county jail
for a term of not less than 30 days, nor more than one year or by
both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court.
