Wisconsin Code § 41.40

Kickapoo land acquisition; reserve designation

(1) The department may acquire land from the federal
government adjacent to the Kickapoo River, and may determine
the boundaries of the Kickapoo valley reserve under s. 41.41 (2).
(2) The department of administration may enter into an
agreement to indemnify the federal government from claims arising from or through the management and operation of the land,
and any improvements on the land, transferred under sub. (1).
