(1) DEFINITION. As used in this section, “landfill official” means any officer, official, agent or employee of the state, a political corporation, governmental subdivision or public agency engaged in the planning, management, operation or approval of a solid or hazardous waste disposal facility. (2) EXEMPTION FROM LIABILITY. A landfill official is immune from civil prosecution for good faith actions taken within the scope of his or her official duties under this chapter or ch. 291 or 292.
