(1) Nothing in this subchapter may be interpreted as limiting intentional exposure of persons to radiation for the purpose of analysis, diagnosis, therapy, and medical, chiropractic or dental research as authorized by law. (2) This subchapter does not apply to on-site activities of any nuclear reactor plant licensed by the U.S. nuclear regulatory commission.
