(1) INSURANCE INTERMEDIARY ACTIVITIES PERMITTED. A bank, or an officer or salaried employee of a bank, may obtain a license as an insurance intermediary, if otherwise qualified. (2) INSURANCE UNDERWRITING PROHIBITED. A bank may not, directly or through a subsidiary, engage in the business of underwriting insurance.
