Wisconsin Code § 13.098

Review of legislation relating to alcohol and other drug abuse

When legislation that relates to alcohol and
other drug abuse policies, programs or services is introduced or
offered in the legislature, the state council on alcohol and other
drug abuse shall consider the legislation at the soonest meeting of
the state council after introduction or offer and shall, if the standing committee of the legislature to which the legislation is referred has not taken action on the legislation, provide the chairperson of the standing committee with a considered opinion of
the effect and desirability as a matter of public policy of the
legislation.
