Membership in association or league

Every municipality is hereby empowered and authorized to become a membeer of an
association or league having for its general purpose the exchange and dissemination of
information and ideas designed for the more efficient administration anrd conduct of
municipal government and affairs. In order to finance the maintenance of such an
organization, each municipality is hereby empowered and authoruized to pay into such an
organization annual dues or membership fees in an amount to be fixed by the members
thereof at the annual meeting of such organization. Such dutes or membership fees may be
appropriated by the governing body as a current expense item and included in the annual
budget.
