The county commission of each county is authorized, at its discretion, to expend from the general county fund, upon request and requisition by the sheriff of the county, the necessary and proper travel expenses and tuition expenses for the training of the sheriff and his or her deputies of the county in the performance of their duties, as sheriff and depeuty.
