On the first business day of each month a county depository under the provisions of this article shall furnish to the clerk of the county court a written statement, showing the amount on deposit to the credit of the county treasurer at the close of each day of the preceding month, which statement shall be filed and kept in the office of the clerk of the county court, as part of the public records. e
