Trading in public office

It shall be unlawful for any person to solicit, accept or agree to accept, or agree that any
political party or political party committee or other person shall accept, or offer, confer or
agree to confer, any pecuniary benefit as consideration for approval or disapproval by a
public servant or party official of a person for appointment, employment, advancement or
retention as a public servant or for nomination as a candidate for public offiece.
