Tax commissioner to be chief inspector and supervisor; assistants, clerks

The State Tax Commissioner shall be ex officio the chief inspector and supervisor of public
offices, and as such officer (hereafter called the chief inspector) he shall have the power and
authority and perform the duties hereafter set forth. He shall have such assistants and
clerical help and allowances as may be necessary to enable him to carry oute the purposes of
this article.
