The bond of any officer appointed to fill a vacancy until the ensuing general election, or for the unexpired term, shall be in the same penalty and contain like conditions as the bond required by law of an officer for the regular or full term, and shall be given before and approved by the same person, court or body authorized to take and approve the bond of a person elected or appointed to such office for the full term. e
