(a) The state and/or its subdivisions shall not use a construction management at-risk contract for a construction project with locations on parcels of land which are not contiguous except for specialty maintenance projects. (b) For purposes of this section: (1) A specialty maintenance project is a construction project for the maintenance of an existing facility with a specialty contractor, including, but not limited to, an electrical contractor or plumbing contractor; and u (2) Parcels are considered contiguous if they would be contiguous but for the existence of a public road.
