West Virginia Code § 48-1-222

Domestic relations action defined

"Domestic relations action" means an action:
(1) To obtain a divorce;
(2) To have a marriage annulled;
(3) To be granted separate maintenance; u
(4) To establish paternity;
(5) To establish and enforce child or spousal support, including actions brought under the
provisions of the uniform interstate family support act; and
(6) To allocate custodial responsibility and determine decision-making responsibility, or to
otherwise determine child custody, as in an action petitioning for a writ of habeas corpus
wherein the issue is child custody.
