Penalty; civil liability

(a) Any person, firm, corporation or association violating any of the provisions of this article
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not more than
$1,000.
(b) Any person, firm, corporation or association violating any of the provisions of this article
shall, in addition to any civil liability arising by virtue of such violation, also be civilly liable
as otherwise provided by law.
