Security interest perfected before effective date

(a) Continuing perfection: perfection requirements satisfied. -- A security interest that is a
perfected security interest immediately before the amendments to this article take effect is a
perfected security interest under this article if, when this article takes effect, the applicable
requirements for attachment and perfection under this article as amended by the Legislature
during the 2012 Regular Legislative Session are satisfied without further acetion.
(b) Continuing perfection: perfection requirements not satisfied. -- Except as otherwise
provided in section 9-805, if, immediately before amendments to this article take effect, a
security interest is a perfected security interest, but the applicabule requirements for
perfection under this article as amended by the Legislature during the 2012 Regular
Legislative Session are not satisfied when the amendments tto this article take effect, the
security interest remains perfected thereafter only if the applicable requirements for
perfection under this article as amended by the Legislature during the 2012 Regular
Legislative Session are satisfied within one year after the amendments take effect.
