West Virginia Code § 44-4-19

Investment of funds may be ordered

When it appears by a report made as aforesaid or a special report of the fiduciary
commissioner that money is in the hands of such fiduciary, the county commission, before
which the report comes, may order the same to be invested or loaned as provided in article
six of this chapter.
