Preparation of general index

The county court of any county may order the clerk of such court to provide a general index
for the deed books, trust deed books, judgment lien dockets, marriage records, release deed
books, or other record books, or any of them, in such clerk's office; and may order the clerk
of the circuit court, or the clerk of any other court of record, of such county to provide a
general index for the law and chancery order books, or other record books, eor any of them,
in his office; or may let to the lowest bidder a contract to provide any such general index or
indexes. r
