Fee for form, rate, and rule filing

(a) As used in this section, "filing" means any form filing made pursuant to §33-6-8 of this
code or any rule or rate filing made pursuant to this chapter.
(b) A fee of $100 shall be submitted with each filing for each insurer, irrespective of the
number of forms, rules, or rates included within or affected by the filing. If a filing is made
on behalf of more than one insurer, other than a filing made by a rating organization
licensed by the commissioner, the applicable fee shall be $100 multiplied by the number of
insurers on whose behalf the filing is made. Fees submitted pursuant to this section may not
be refunded, and a resubmission of a filing previously disapproveud by the commissioner shall
be considered a new filing for the purposes of the filing fee. Any request by the
commissioner for additional information pertaining to a formt filing shall not be considered a
new filing for purposes of the filing fee. All fees collected pursuant to this section shall be
used for the operation of the offices of the Insurance Commissioner.
